Our Staff

Minister
BUC extends a warm welcome to our new Minister, Rev Barb Creelman. As an Ordained Minister of Sacrament, Word and Pastoral Care, Rev. Barb brings with her 10 years of ministry in varied fields, with music being one of her many talents. She is also a talented crafter, specializing in fibre arts of spinning and knitting.
Rev. Barb is excited to get to know the Community of Faith here at Binbrook United Church, and we look forward to her inspirational messages and leadership.

Office Administration
Pam Edgcumbe is the face and voice of the Administrative role at Binbrook. With a combination of office hours and remote connection, Pam is the contact who will direct any inquiries to the appropriate personnel and performs most of the secretarial duties for the church office and is often found to be the Recording Secretary for various meetings. Binbrook United Church is very thankful to have the organizational skills, experience and dedication that Pam brings to this role.

Choir Leader & Music Ministry
Laurie Mysko is a talented musician bringing joy through her love of music to the church. A combination of traditional favourites and contemporary music enhances the services regularly, while Special Occasions in the church are celebrated with special music medleys and enhancements. Laurie shares her musical talents with the children of the congregation by teaching them various action-filled songs and verses.

Musical Accompaniment
Blessed with the gift of music, Nora and Pat share the role of music ministry with their talents on piano and keyboard. The congregation loves to sing and celebrate through music. Powerpoint delivery of hymns and songs enable the congregation to stand as able and sing loud and strong to their accompaniment.
Binbrook welcomes anyone who would love to share their Music Ministry talents whether it be joining the choir or playing an instrument.

Sunday School
Pam Edgcumbe also is a very dedicated Sunday School teacher. As a retired schoolteacher, Pam has the training, skills and tools at hand to prepare amazing and intriguing lessons for Sunday School Children (ages 3 and up). Her creativity in lessons that she shares with the Sunday School is evident throughout the church.

Volunteers
As always, volunteers play such a significant role in the church life. From volunteering as Welcome Greeters on Sundays, Scripture Readers during the service, to Coffee hour duties to name a few, the work of volunteers does not go unnoticed, and spreads the joy and love of the Community of Faith. Every day of the week will find volunteers working at specific tasks within the building, working on outreach details, service preparation and fund-raising programming. “Many hands make light work!”
